Surfer bitten by shark in Australia

Sean Pollard lost one hand and the other forearm in a shark attack. The 23-year-old surfer also sustained serious injuries to his legs. The incident occurred at Wylie Bay Beach in the town of Esperance Australia. Mr. Pollard was able to return to the beach under his own power and was assisted onto shore by two beach goers. A fisherman has been bitten by a shark at Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Terrell Moore was bait fishing in waist deep water around 75-feet off shore on the western end of Okaloosa Island when he was bitten by a shark on July 14. The 39-year-old Tennessee man did not have life threatening injuries and was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. LT. Human remains found with shark bites

The body of Mick McGregor has been found off the coast south of Perth, Western Australia and police believe he may have been killed by a shark. The 38-year-old was diving with friends off Dawesville Cut, which is near where the body was found, when he failed to surface after the early Saturday afternoon dive. None of McGregor’s dive buddies saw any shark activity during the dive and it is possible that he suffered a dive emergency and his body was scavenged.

The first fatal attack of 2014 took place today off Yorke peninsula, west of the South Australia state capital of Adelaide. Sam Kellett was killed by a shark while practicing for a spearfishing tournament. Witnesses reported seeing Mr. Kellett thrashing about in the water after a suspected great white shark approached.
