Great White shark filmed from paddleboard

Joseph Trucksess filmed a juvenile great white shark from his paddleboard off Sunset Beach, California.

He and his friend Courtney Hemerick spent around three hours out with the sharks.

Trucksess told The Orange County REGISTER “the sharks he saw ranged from 4 to 5 feet long, to the largest at about 7 feet, measured roughly next to his 12-foot paddleboard.”

There have been a large number of white sharks in the area feeding on sting rays that live near the shore line.

Local residents have been spreading the word as 10 of the sharks have been spotted in the area over the past few months.

Though the sharks are juvenile and pose little threat, they are still wild and caution is advised in interacting with them.
