Shark bite at Guana State Park Fla.

Firefighters responded to a shark bite at Guana state Park in Florida.

Mark Richard Wilson was bodysurfing around noon today at South Ponte Beach, when he was bitten on the right ankle.

The 48-year-old saw something flopping in the water before he was bitten.

Mrs. Wilson, who was near her husband when the incident occurred, saw a 4-foot shark.

Fire rescue responded and took Mr. Wilson to to the Baptist Medical Center Beaches for evaluation.

The shark was thought to be a black tip, which is common in Florida waters.

This is the twenty-seventh shark attack bite of 2016. Three of which were fatal. Seven in the US, with six occurring in Florida.
