The shark hit with such force, that Peman’s board was cracked nearly in half.

“Encountered my first and last Shark attack today down at Carparks Injis!” he wrote on Facebook.

“Scariest moment of my life, yet walked away intact with nothing but a smashed board,” he said.

He credits his “lil brother” Logan Penman for saving his life.

Penman said his Brother “instantly” paddled to his aid and yelled ‘punch it!’ before sharing his board.

“That takes a hell of a lot of courage and so much love, I am truly lucky to have you.” He said in the post.

A hand made sign was posted warning beach goers of the incident and the beach remained open.

Surf Lifesaving Western Australia tweeted the shark involved may have been a great white.
