Spearfisherman killed by shark

Daniel Smith was spearfishing with two friend at Rudder Reef in Australia when he was killed by a shark. The 18-year-old sustained “massive injuries to his right upper leg, right groin and right arm. A lot of large blood vessels in the groin area, so, for him to go into cardiac arrest that quickly, it would be probably blood loss” According to Greg Thiedecke of the  QLD Ambulance service. Cameron Pearman was surfing with his cousin at Pyramids beach, Australia when he was bitten by a 6tft  shark. “It came up underneath me and bit my leg. Then it just swam off. I only saw it for a split second, just a head and a tail. A 44 year-old man was paddling just offshore of Indian Harbour Beach around 1 p.m. EST Sunday when he was bitten on the hand by a shark. “He was surfing and said he was not too far from the shore,” said Cpl. John Knudsen of the Indian Harbour Police Department. “(The shark) took a piece out of his hand. It grabbed hold of his left hand. Possible shark bite in Hawaii

Airplane Beach area located to the west of Maui Hawaii has been closed after an apparent shark bite. According to the AP The Hawaii  Department of Land and Natural Resources state a 50-year-old snorkeler saw  a five-foot shark,  was bumped and then immediate pain. The man, who originates from Homer Alaska was able to swim back to the beach. He was taken to the hospital and received treatment for lacerations to his leg.
