Swimmer bitten by a shark in Florida

A swimmer was been bitten by a shark in Florida on February 11 at Melbourne Beach.

The 22-year-old was bitten on the hand and was treated on scene by the Brevard County Fire Rescue before being taken to the Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

The beach does not have lifeguards during the winter months and signs are posted alerting beach goers to swim at their own risk.
