Scuba Cuba

It appears the US and Cuba are about to be on friendly terms. This will present some awesome dive opportunities for those wishing to visit the island nation. Currently the only way to legally head to Cuba is to fly to Canada then to the Island and there are no protections from the US government. There are some hurdles that still have to be overcome, besides Congressional action the US dollar hasn’t been accepted since 2004.  It will be interesting to see how the Cuban Peso pegs to the dollar.  Its quite possible those paying in dollars might get a great deal.

From what I understand the embargo has created huge demands for building materials and supplies.  Once the embargo is over, the dollar will become a valued asset and should be freely traded.  Not only that but I have a feeling some classic car buffs may be making a move to add to their collections.
